"Growth" vs. "Fixed" Minds
Fixed Minds believe that their basic intelligence is just a fixed trait. They are very concerned about how much they have, they will base their activities on whether it will make them look smart. Students with a growth mind set know that their minds are always developing.
As a teacher I would need to make sure students know that their mind is always growing. That you can never stop learning. With a growth mind set, children can make good grades, if they are in a fixed mind set their grades could decline. The children need to know that everyone makes mistakes. And that is okay and that we learn from our mistakes.
